Sustainability is becoming much more important to all stakeholders, including consumers, regulators, and companies. There have been more and more environmental labels out there, such as Sustainable Seafood, FairTrade, Energy Label, etc. to guide consumers, the very people who have the power to drive retails towards the path for sustainability, to make sustainability-focused choices. This focus area tries to emphasize the power of consumers to influence the market. Students will recognize their ability to bring positive influence and transform the marketplace through their purchasing actions and inactions.
